When F3 YEL developed a misfire it wasn't easy to diagnose, mainly because 99% of the time it didn't manifest it's self. It was only at tick over and only when the engine was quite hot. More often than not on restart and then not for long. I thought it was likely to be one of three things, a spark plug, an ignition lead, or an ignition pack. It only seamed to be on the right hand bank, and only one cylinder would miss a beat at tick over.

It was clean with only a few revs. However, I decided to change all the plugs (NGK PMR7A) anyway. I thought it less likely to be an ignition pack as they fire two pulses at the same time wasting one pulse and doubling the misfire I had. And for a while it looked as though the misfire was cured     .......it wasn't.

The ignition leads were the next item to change, I decided on Magnecor, I had heard of them before and with good reports.
Not being a purist I wanted something superior to the original and Magnecor actually do a bespoke kit for the Ferrari 355. The boxed kit is so nicely presented it would make a great present. My kit was checked by "Carol" and has a 10 year guarantee, the leads not Carol.

Miss fire sorted!
